USMC Desert Marpat camo

anyone have any tips or guides on how to paint this camo to look decent on 28mm minis?

There's this, but I think Mike Charge has painted some recently over at ChargeBlog using sponges.  That's essentially how I did mine even though I'm now not terribly happy with it.
