I, like the rest, are very impressed with the weathering - any chance for a rundown on the how?
Thanks!
The weathering (like most techniques I use) is a fairly quick process, which gives a pretty good impression of rust, whilst being robust enough to game with;
-Primed black with rattle can
-Sprayed erratically all over with red rattle can - light dusting, with heavier patches (panels below sort of show it better)
- light dusting with black again to break up any solid areas
Allowed to properly harden overnight
Then hairspray all over and light spray of top contrast colour and any markings
Which is then scrubbed and scratched to death with toothbrush/dish scourers etc
- ink washes/oil washes/contrast paint over the top to tone it all down and blend it all in
& some HB pencil for scratches/burnishing bolt heads etc
Few panel shots below to show better than I can describe
