That looks real nice how much extra work do you do to make it look less like laser cut MDF? I've tried a couple of MDF kits but often I find I can't quite hide the fact its MDF, after painting, those blasted brown edges and connecting tabs just seem to stand out.

I tiled the roof, MDF roofs are horrible. Then I added a small amount of filler over the corner joins, just a light smear- enough to blend the MDF tabs in to the walls. It probably took ten minutes tops.

:o :o :o

Wow! Is that one of your 'cork' models?

No, it's an MDF kit. Arches are a bit of a pain to cut in cork.

Still, you have done your part in making it splendid!  8)

Never fail to find something of value in Matakishi projects even if not my personal interest.  Love this project and the use of Matt household paint as undercoat...genius😉

Apart from the metallic paint on the rails, everything here is painted with household paint.

I’m taking stock of what people are using for bases as I get ready to start a non-GW project.

What are you using? I enjoy the minis you’ve painted as always.

I use 30mm x 3mm mdf bases from Warbases for single figures.

Very nice, Paul!  :-*

Really like all the civilians you included in the project... gives it character.

The locomotive and train came out great, and put all together, yet one more wonderful matakishi extravagance.  :-*
