15mm Asterix village? Tell me more!!  :P ??? :o

It's a collection in the style of the 28mm Lucky Luke figures I've been repainting in the old west thread. By the same company too. So it's prepainted metal figures (about 15mm) with metal and resin scenery pieces. The most common set is the village itself which has a big resin base, resin houses, metal pallissades and trees, the villagers, various accesories, the banquet and the school. Here's some pictures I found on the net:

Rarer are the Roman camp and the battlefield. The Roman camp comes with a resin base, towers and pallisades, resin tents and metal romans (prepainted).

The battlefield has a smaller resin base with a hill, all the main characters in action poses and more romans. There 's also a onepiece roman turtle.

On the ones I've tried stripping, the paint came off easily and revealed finely detailed metal miniatures underneath.

I've even accumulateda few doubles I'll put up for sale.

3 HLBS Triffids (very nice figures indeed, shame they're only a limited release) and something mysteriously entitled 'steam launch'. This turned out to be a bizarre looking ram-thing, rather ugly and too small for more than about 3 figures. Came with a nice boiler, though, so it's not completely useless...
I told you so. You damned fools.

It just doesn't get any better on Christmas Eve! A lovely box from Ground Zero Games was waiting for me in my mailbox.
It was full of lots of the 15mm New Israelis plus 8 an wheeled APC, MICV, MBT and 2 cool little 4 wheeled 'not-hummers' of the future.
Basically almost everything one would need to play Ambush Alley or Force on Force in a future setting.

Of course since it's Christmas there was also a wonderful goody bag with an extra vehicle, wheeled drones, more New Israelis and some of those excellent 'Not-Prawn'. Totally useful stuff! :-*

The Christmas bonus order opportunity ends on the 25th!
Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

6 RLBPS vultures and 6 wolves from their final sale for their great animals.  The vultures are real works of art with lots of character.  They just seem to convey menace.
