Who sells this figure now?
« on: 10 August 2020, 08:30:11 PM »
As the title says.

Bought and painted years ago.  I might need another one.   ::)

A huge guess but is it part of bob Murch's Pulp range? It has that sort of stylistic look.

But then again the face reminds me of the later Robi Baker sculpts  ??? ??? ???

My recollection might be vague, but...

It was a one-off figure sold by the sculptor - could have been through the Steve Dean forum - and it was in resin.

Then, much later, I thought I read that someone had taken it into production, but I can't remember who.   ::)

The more I look at the mini, the more I think it's very much in Robi Baker's style but then why would Gripping Beast/Woodbine (Mainly Soaps right?) would be doing a one off SCW mini?

Maybe drop Andy an email and ask?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

A while back some SCW figures to expand the SCW range Templer Miniatures  now sell, were shown on LAF. However despite some positive feed back the expansion never happened and as far as I recall there was no explanation as as is sadly so often the case the figures disappeared. Now this figure looks SCW to me and while I cannot be certain the minute I saw I though it was one of the figures mentioned above. I’ve not searched the forum and any pictures may have disappeared with the photo bucket fiasco so this doesn’t really answer the question but it may help prompt some one who can build on it.

Prompted by my own post I did some digging.

The figure was painted by Orctrader and shown on s post tiled “Spanish Civil War Character”  back in 2012 (currently p.28 on the interwar forum” it was sculpted by forum member Jinx as part of an intended expansion of the “Force of Arms SCW range but they never went into production and the range was sold on without them.

Well, dang... I'd have liked to get one too. Shame!
