Anyone have recent experience of Wayland Games
« on: 12 August 2020, 08:21:48 PM »
I am thinking of ordering a decent amount of stuff later this month from Wayland Games.  I have not ordered from them before but see quite a few poor reviews from a couple of years ago.

Does anyone have any recent experience of ordering from Wayland Games?

Overall, I find them pretty decent. I'd be sure to only order stuff that's in stock. I've noticed their "restock expected" is rather liberal.

Thanks.  Several items are listed as "Restock Expected: Available To Order" but I am not in a hurry.

They have become my first choice of web shop over the last couple of years. I do only buy when stuff is in stock, but find requesting notification for when things come back into stock essential since they often sell out fast.

Used them just before lockdown, bought two out of stock items.
One was dispatched quickly, the second took a while. In fact they suggested I raise a ticket on the order to cancel it but as this was processing the second package arrived.

Both order parts came, both probably within two months. Not bad service but a bit disjointed and their automatically sent emails and online systems weren’t great.

I went with them as they were cheaper than the main supplier of the items but wish I’d supported them directly.

I use them a lot and have always found them excellent to deal with. Restocks of some of their ranges are still being affected by Covid problems at the manufacturers and shipping to Wayland.

Don't use them very often but never had a problem with them and really good communication from them. Ordered a mat a while ago from them that took a while to get in stock, was offered alternatives and money back but waited and got the goodies. I don't think you would have any problems dealing with them. :)

I have had no problems with them at all. I only order items that are in stock and it seems to arrive pretty fast.

Had no problems with GW products, but ordered a bunch of Imperial Assault stuff, had to cancel the order after waiting a rather long time.

I've used them regularly and the service is generally very good. The threshold for free shipping is quite low (£20) but for some reason they class certain items, including many glues, as 'bulky' irrespective of size - there are ineligible for free shipping. Also it may be worth bearing in mind that they use Hermes for the majority of their deliveries. My last purchase - a boxed game, which had not been well packed - was left on my doorstep, which I mentioned in my Trust Pilot review. Another item, ordered some years ago, never arrived, possibly for similar reasons.
