Rubicon Models do maybe a dozen figures armed with SMGs. You could cut off the original weapons and replace them with rifles as needed (they're multipart figures) - as I've done with a few of mine.

Black Tree Design also had a whole Kickstarter of figures in snow suits. With the caveat though that there's a slim chance of receiving your order if you do go with those. ::)

Heer46 also has a few figures. Only like six or so.

Particularly you may want to look at figures wearing Amoeba camouflage suits. Which can have a  similar cut to snow suits (more so depending on how the suits were manufactured). Just paint them up white and they do the job. Artizan, Warlord, Great Escape Games, and possibly West Wind come to mind for those.  Bad Squiddo also do some female figures in those suits if you want some variety (i.e. female support elements attached to a male platoon).

Oh and I've seen some manufacturers doing Finnish models in snow suits. Which would be perfectly useable as Soviets with head swaps.

I'm coming at this from a different angle and doing a Finnish force in snow suits for the Lapland War. I've got the Warlord Soviet squad and have done a few head swaps which seems to have worked well. I also have some of the Rubicon models which come with seperate arms and in some cases legs.

They appear to scale reasonably well with Warlord's stuff so I'm thinking this may be a good route to get a bit of variety (using arms from the Waffen SS box which have a similarly baggy look and head swaps). Might be a route you want to consider to get some variety with your Russians?

Looking at those suits, they would be easy to green stuff over regular Russians ?

In the past I've made snow suits from regular figures. Really it comes down to making sure that the model's wearing a smooth cloth outfit and add a hood. There's enough variaty in snow suits that you could represent them as having various hems, in two parts or one part suits, etc. As can you for instance take a Soviet figure in a quilted outfit, fill in the creases, and use that for the basis of a snow suit.

Of course it depends on what style of suit you want to represent. And one which has string around the cuffs and legs to tighten the cloth, keeping the cold out, is preferable. So finding prupose sculpted figures would be my preference.

Ang yes, funnily enough I just sold off a platoon of Soviets in snow suits in the bazaar a week ago... .  ::)
