Hello,
Any idea if Northstar will cover the Italian War of Independence within their 1866 range?
Thank you

in the meanwhile maybe you can consider the big and detailed Italian/Piedmontese range from  Mirliton whose minis are based on deep study of original sources...maybe you could think that they re small if compared to North Star but, for me, they are OK

I understand the theory is to expand the North Star 1866 range to cover some of the German states and possibly the Italian theatre eventually. But given the extremely slow rate at which this range has been built so far, I would not, as they say, hold my breath! Nick Eyre who runs North Star has a genuine interest in this period, but it's a very small seller compared to his fantasy and other ranges, plus he is dependent on a very slow sculptor.

Thank you.  Any idea if Shako 64 and Northstar  are compatible?

Not my area of interest but have you checked out the Steve Barber and Gringo 40s ranges?

Gringo do Piedmontese which would be suitable for 1866, they are big figures though.

Shako 64 are worth checking out.

Cibos little dudes may also do suitable figures for '66.

Here we are
From left to right:
Gringo, North Star, Cibo’s, Mirliton, Shako 64
In my opinion they all could be mixed together...even the big one from Gringo once his base has been filed it ll be ok so you can enjoy the beautiful design of his Risorgimento figures..Mirliton is probably the smallest size but their Piedmontese, Pontifical, Neapolitan, Austrian and Red Shirts ranges include many types that you’ll not find elsewhere
