Interesting.

It looks likes the guy (Kevin Eastman) who worked on the original black and white Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic is involved as well.

Hmm...it looks...mediocre.
Sorry, I've no real interest in these sort of things. Beyond the airships it didn't really look that VSF-y, either.
Plus, they've got the Heat Ray all wrong. It's invisible damnit! Invisible!

I do wonder if a good War of the Worlds film will ever be produced...
I told you so. You damned fools.

That looked really good, even if the machines weren't as VSFish as they could be.

Strictly speaking it's set about the time of the First World War, but seemed more appropriate to stick it here. As for the walkers not being very VSF, perhaps they recovered tech from the first invasion? Anyway, I'm looking forward to it, although I also would like to see a decent film version of the book made, set at the end of the 19th century, as much as I love the 1950s version.

As for invisible rays, that's just being somewhat pedantic.

For me, that looks cracking  :D  :o  :-*  :-*

Something to just watch and enjoy. War of the Worlds is my favorite book and although none of the versions (apart from the very dodgy Canadian one) come no where near, I still watch them as eye candy. I know the book inside and out but don't care about wrong versions because I know they would never get it right and enjoy the book far too much to let it bother me.

Bring it on  :D

cheers

OMG this looks awesome!!!  :o  Not as good as my tripods though ;)

It looks like a nice take on the "second martian invasion"  thing.

I will certainly keep a look out for that one.

Cheers
Fuzzy.

Who would have believed.....
Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Looks good to me, although the Earth walkers seem almost -too- advanced for WW1 era. Minor quibble though. Some real promise here. Is it intended as a theatrical release?

Lets not argue about to advanced, Its called Sci-fi for a resione. When wells came up with the idea, no one else even thought about alien invaders from mars with walking machines and heat RAys.
I mean come on. its easy to just say  they just reversed engineered tech from the first invasion.
I defiantly will see it.

To be honest, from a War of the Worlds perspective I'm not sure if this is going to cut the mustard for me.

I'm an original War of the Worlds die hard and I'm still waiting for a decent film to be made in the atmospheric, almost haunting spirit of the book. Hey, I'm that sad I've done a lot of footwork following the narrators journey, even putting together a 'then and now' photo album showing his route. The majority of people who read the book enjoy it so why not make a film true to the book? Admittedly Tim Hines had a bash in 2005 but when I saw his version the Bluebird of Happiness was replaced by the Chicken of Despair. Bless him, he tried to follow the book as much as possible but the acting, special effects and locations are...... well...........  oops!

If I had the money and the connections and the talent I'd have a go.

Anyway, as for Goliath, I'll give it a go purely as its sci-fi and it will propbably be quite good.

Certainly worth a look. The air battles look especially dramatic, and I've been convinced that flying aircraft carriers are an awesome idea since I was six or so. Firmly on the "to see" list, assuming it gets a release here.
