Thank you! :D

Yeah, I once did a guided tour through Vienna Army Museum during which I learned that they used to have international contests for overall uniform prettiness in the 19th century, and the Habsburg army did very, very well at those.

And it's Bavarians and Austrians in the final, but what's this... Norway have cast their deux ponts for Austria...

Of course the Austrian vote isn't yet in on the ski-troop category :)

Beautifully done. These are delightful little figures. If I was ever going to do Napoleonics (which I’m not) I think these would be the ones  :)

Missed these. You really bring out the best in those 18mm figures.

Is that a commission or for your own collection? I went down the dark path of 28mm napoleonics and couldn’t imagine doing another collection in a different scale on top of that.

@Shahbahraz: :D :D Oh, don't get me started on the point allocation system they use in Eurovision now.

@Captain Blood: Never say never. :D I didn't think I'd ever do Napoleonics either. Or American Civil War for that matter.

@Warboss Nick: Cheers! Much appreciated. That's all commission stuff. I do Napoleonics in 6mm and 28mm, that's got to be enough. I have to say though that 18mm is great. Sensible and pretty. On the other hand I'm just a victim of marketing too. 6mm seemed sensible and doable for larger battles, but it didn't scratch my itch for those pretty uniforms. So I got 28mm stuff as well. :P

I don't want to open another thread, so I decided to keep all my 15mm Nappy things in here. :)

Anyway, here's the 15th (King's) Hussars!

AB Miniatures, hence pretty. At the start I underestimated the workload these dudes would be (mostly because they wear their pelisses closed).

As you may spot, I took a little liberty with the musicians by giving them white fur hats. Clothing the musicians was up to the officers, and as we all know light cavalry especially tend to go overboard if you leave them to design their own stuff.

The officers feature two different shabrack designs (since they had liberties with that as well) and some more horse furniture adornments.

Hope you like the chaps! I'm not allowed to base these chaps and will send them home stuck to these paintysticks, but I'm told I'd get lovely pictures of them once they're based, so eventually these will look really nice. :)

Lovely work.  I’m always a sucker for nicely painted Napoleonics.

These are just spectacular. Really enjoyed going through those images. Such talent, bringing to life the colourful uniforms of the period.

@2010sunburst: Cheers! Me too. :D

@MaleGriffin: Thank you, that's very kind!

@DintheDin: I like to hide threads from you until they got a sizeable number of photos, so once you see them there's more to take in at once. ;) Thanks!

@valleyboy: Well, aren't hussars always. :D

@Fred Mills: Thank you! The outstanding figure quality aside, I think that AB miniatures hit a really good spot between a good look en masse (and a reasonable footprint) and a great look up close.

@vtsaogames: Cheers!

@vexilia: I put links to the full size photos right underneath each picture. I'm not sure if closer-ups make much sense on 18mm figures, but if you want I can see that I get bigger pictures.
