Budget Light box and rotating display stand reviewed
« on: December 04, 2020, 03:05:07 PM »
Today I’m taking a look at the Lightbox and rotating display stand from Green Stuff World. These are two fairly cheap budget products that can be used to add  some nice features and improve your photography of painted miniatures and the like.

In this video I’m taking an in depth look at the lightbox and the various settings, and do some heavy testing of the rotating display stand as well to see how it supports heavier models.

I bought these on a whim as they were so cheap it would not be a huge blow if they did not work good enough.

Nice review. I can see how the rotating stand would be useful if you video your work.

Thanks! Yes, I have used the rotating stand already, and will try to use it as much as possible. It is nice to get a smooth 360 view of painted miniatures, it makes for a different effect than taking still pictures. Will be using both still photos and rotating videos for my miniature photography from now on  :)

Good video review

I’ve got a similar light box that I got direct from China, it was a bit cheaper, but this one has quite a few extra features, like the second LED strip and the dimmer controls, and 2 more backgrounds. Have you find the dimmer controls much use in practice?

The turntable is interesting, especially the ability to give a 360º view of a model with a short video. I was left thinking it would be nice to have a bit of extra background material to put on the turntable so it matched the background of the light box.
