Hello from Hampshire

Hello, hello all,

I've visited this forum a few times over the years. I think I first discovered it through somebody's Halo 28mm project many moons ago, but I mostly just lurked. Now I'm here, though, because nowadays I generally find myself having more to say and (hopefully) contribute.

So, about me: I'm 29 now, been into the hobby since I was 8 when I bought a box of space marines. I was largely a GW guy til my late teens when I had actual income and discovered the now-largely-abandoned Forum of Doom. Thus began an accumulation of an eclectic collection of miniatures that continues to this day. I don't really do GW games anymore, having sold off or binned most of my stuff from them, but I do have a lot of other sci-fi minis that I'm trying to figure out how best to make use of. And some Orks for Gorkamorka, because GW was good once upon a time.

Mostly here for discussion, inspiration, and possibly sharing some projects of my own somewhere down the line.

Aah the fabled Lost City of Basingstoke...is it true the streets are paved with gold?

I was stuck for hours in Basingstoke once, when a National Express coach bound for Portsmouth broke down there. I missed my ferry to France because of that. Bloody Basingstoke!
