Kickstarter: Zombicide: Undead or Alive

Minis look promising to me, and I can use them and the map tiles with our Shadows of Brimstone games - and Deadlands too, once we start playing it (the Deadlands KS is supposedly shipping this week huzzah).

I backed the Invader game for the minis. Unfortunately there's been quite a bit of scale creep within the Zombicide universe and they're too big to use with standard minis, although they might work with Star Wars Legion.

The other problem is that they're correctly anatomically scaled, so look weird next to standard wargame figures with huge heads and hands :D

It would be worth trying to find out about the figure sizes, as it's a lot of money to spend. What's worse (from my UK perspective) is that they're adding VAT to the prices, so it goes well above my limit (had I been tempted)

Have they got a lot bigger since the Black Plague release?
I've got a bunch of the zombies from that I'm using alongside my existing stuff and they look OK to me. Yes, they are a bit thinner because they are more anatomically proportioned, but then zombies aren't exactly well fed!
They seem acceptable alongside fantasy stuff like Reaper and Historical ranges like Foundry.
My existing Wild West collection comes from a dozen or more different manufacturers, so there's a degree of size difference betwwen some of them anyway.

Same here.  I have everything from Black Scorpion (my favorite range) to early - and tiny - Foundry figures.  Sam Colt made 'em all equal...

It's the size creep in heroes I'm concerned about, zombies not so much.

I have the original zombicide, whose figures sit quite happily alongside others. I didn't buy any of the other games until Invader. Some of the Invader heroes are okay, but others are head and shoulders above other figures.

I started to clean some for a Stargrave crew, as I reckon they'll work as a single crew, but won't really work in mixed crews.

Thanks. I've gone ahead and bought into this anyway. I'm more interested in the zombies, I have a load of western characters I can use if I don't like the hero minis.

If you're going to buy it at retail it's seriously worth considering backing it in the Kickstarter. The base games tend to have four heroes. The KS version will have a lot more (Invader has nearly 40 extra hero figures and over 40 extra zombie figures)

CMON do deliver, albeit sometimes late, but their Kickstarters are definitely good value for money.
