I see you let slip there, a reference to Snapcase Hall's housekeeper and disciplinarian, Miss Ilsa Spankhurst (N.B. the family name was originally Spanckwürst, but was anglicised upon their arrival in blighty during WWII (a story for another day)).

My mother was in the WAAF in WW2 and I asked her once if she was one of these plotter types in the operations room. She laughed and said no they were always the most intelligent upper class girls because the job was so important and everyone else looked up to them in awe.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

That was a great read and a fantastic looking game that makes me want to start playing it. Maybe I should make the effort.
