Sudan armed train
« on: April 05, 2021, 08:23:20 AM »
Hi All

I am at the very beginning of an 28mm (approximates to S scale) armed train project based on the improvisations by the crews of HMS Hecla and HMS Invincible in Eqypt in 1882, although my train is destined for the Suakin–Berber railway:

I am waiting on Company B’s remastering of their range of locomotives and rolling stock (they are adding a rather compact civilian loco too) but have begun work on the Armstrong 40pdr.

I’ll be posting progress on my blog.

Cheers
JJ

Oh, I do love the Bluejackets in the later colonial period. This will be lovely to see when completed.

Thank you for sharing your project.
Best wishes,
Helen

Thank you for your encouragement. Very much appreciated.

As I mentioned, I am waiting on availability of locomotive and rolling stock, but meanwhile I have started a project page on my blog:

I am looking forward to this too, but I suspect I won’t get started on the train itself until late summer at the earliest.

Cheers
JJ
