WWI Hobbits
« on: 07 September 2009, 03:16:05 PM »
I originally painted these little chaps as part of LPL3 link, but I also entered them into the Unit category at Sheffield Irregular's IMP09 event, where they won me the bronze award! Hurrah! :)

These are a couple of rather better photos than the one I entered into the LPL

Clearly photography is still one of my weak points, but I keep working on it! :)  Used a tripod and a white top on my photobox, this time!

Your C&C are quite welcome, but not expected as plenty of people commented on the original post!

Sorry Hammers, didn't say.  Yes, they're from Hasslefree :)  I think they call them Kindred.

These guys are very small circa 20mm. There is actually quite a bit of detaqil on them which I think the photo blurs out and not being a good photographer I can understand issues with photos :D

Maybe after I'd finished splashing paint on them they looked like this, but in the bare metal they were never as good as these minis! :)

@Lowtardog: Yes, they are tiny.  I sort of assumed that would be a given, since they're hobbits :)  As you're painting them, they actually seem a touch smaller than some of the 20mm stuff I've done.

Yep I haven`t touched mine yet for just such a reason. I fancy taking them off the slotta bases and mounting on pennies. I think they could be as small as 18mm. They are lovely figures though. I am hoping with more releases in the future to build up a platoons worth ;D

I expressed myself wrongly
I meant the tiny appearance

I understood former user - I was being deliberately evasive ;)  I get like that during especially boring days at work! :D
