Painful Last Months: Napoleon's Death, 5 May 1821
« on: 04 May 2021, 10:44:45 PM »
Quote
The night was very bad: towards two o’clock delirium became evident, and was accompanied by nervous contractions. Twice I thought I distinguished the unconnected words, France – armée, tête d’armée – Josephine….

200 years after the death of the emperor, I combined sources to recall his last days. Even immortals die.

The model above was painted by an Andrea Miniatures studio painter, not by me. I have other Napoleon models, see blog. As a wargamer and modeler, I prefer the heroic and the macho figures, not the frail patient. As amateur historian the story of Napoleon The Sick is a sad story, but you still see a shadow of Napoleon The Great.
