And for Terryb: I used Citadel Base Death Guard Green for the Giants in Miniature uniforms.  I used Vallejo Model Color Panzer Series US Olive (70.887) for most of the web gear, and Citadel Base Death World Forest for rucksacks, etc.  I know the Citadel stuff ain't historical, but they give the right colors for my tastes for these figs.

FYI, I use a strictly acrylic paints from several manufacturers, applied with a hand brush.  I shade using a black wash with a mix of ink wash and floor finish.  I then drybrush the highlights with a very light tan.  Then I apply a matte varnish.  As you can see, I do a very basic neutral flock on the bases.  This process works for me, anyway...

I think PAVN and/or VC are next, but I still gotta buy them - probably once Empress' platoon deals show up at Age of Glory here in the states....and I still am deciding whether to use Empress' Marines as Army boys, or to wait for their actual Army guys to come out.  Knowing me, I'll likely go for the Marines, as I tend to not have much in the way of patience...

Yes, well, they all have to be new at some point.  Besides, back than it wasn't like you could buy jeans that are already tattered and worn (and that cost extra), like you can today....

Finally started on my US platoon.  Mostly 28mm Empress stuff.  Platoon HQ is done, and pics should appear yet this week.  The squad leader and MG sections from the weapons squad are next, all primed and ready to paint...
