Cerastus knights
« on: May 27, 2021, 01:41:26 PM »
I finished up a couple of pairs of Cerastus knights for my AT forces.

The first set are the plastic knights Acheron.  This is my second set of them, the first one I painted as traitors.  These are going with my Coldshroud force.

In game I don't find these to be as useful as the lancers but they can still pack quite a punch.  I don't see them drawing the same amount of fire as the lancers either, which is nice.

They are great figures.  Easy to assemble but with plenty of details and they paint up quickly.

Then I got a Forge World order in on Saturday and got my Atrapos knights done too.

These guys, being resin, were not as easy to put together, but they weren't bad.

I've not used these in a game yet but looking over the rules they seem like they will be pretty nasty against the bigger titans.  With their laser cutters they get the fusion ability, so their low S6 will be offset by them rolling d10 to do damage instead of d6 every time.

They also have the gravity pulse gun. That is only S6 too, but they are at +1 to hit against anything bigger than a Warhound.  It has the concussive rule so inside voidshields it should be pretty useful.

At any range these things are just about useless against either other knights or titans, but once they get inside voidshields they should be able to rip up the bigger titans.

I'm hoping I can get a game in before I go on vacation in a week and a half.

Lovely paint jobs.  You should submit some images to the channel over here, they run montages of painted AT minis pretty regularly:

Also a good place to get some inspiration from, and battle reports if that's your thing.
