[Stargrave] Codebreaker and Casecracker
« on: 25 July 2021, 07:46:31 AM »
I've started painting some resin 3D printed miniatures in addition to my original FDM figures. In this case, a codebreaker and a casecracker for Stargrave.

Very nice! Are the 3D prints harder to paint than traditionaly cast figures?

Thanks guys.

Resin 3D prints can be used as is, no difference with regular miniatures. They might be a bit brittle depending on the resin, but that's not different from working with cast resin.
FDM (i.e. filament spool printer) miniatures have a lot of print lines, which can be a pain if you want them to look good. I find that I have to brush varnish over them to cover up the print lines before priming.
