Completed Rif War Greens from Rif Raf
« on: September 15, 2009, 07:53:21 PM »
Hello one and all.  Thought you'd like to know that our sculptor, Richard Ansell, has now completed the greens for our next four figure packs for Rif Raf Miniatures.  These should be with Griffin Moulds later on this week for moulding and casting.  If you'd like to have a look at the greens, please feel free to click onto the link below which should take you to our site and then all you have to do is go to our 'Latest Greens Gallery' page.

Comments - good or bad - are always welcome.

Cheers,

Marco  :)

Hi Marco,

Thank you for the news and the greens as they look great, especially the charging warriors.

I might not be fully informed on all machine guns, but was the Hotchkiss MG left hand clip fed or right hand clip fed?

Helen
Best wishes,
Helen

Ciao Helen,

That's a good question with regards to the Hotchkiss MG being left hand clip or right hand clip fed....I hope the following information will answer your query....

Here we go....The M1914 fed from the left and the M1909 fed from the right hand side with the cartridges facing downwards in the tray.  The Spanish (for the

purposes of our Rif War figures) called the M1909 the M22. There are photos out there which also show the M22 and Hotchkiss of larger calibres with both left

and right hand feeds.

Hope this has been of some help.

Marco  :)

Thanks Marco, I've learnt something this day.

All the very best,

Thanks Bjorn  :)  Richard has, once again, really done another fantastic job of these figures.
