Speaking of Mantic, we sent their Hornet Dropship to be painted by Artmaster Studios for our photoshoots & games. Looks great.

Ooh, that does look nice!

I've been eyeing that model for possible use as a BattleTech dropship.  The transport compartment certainly has the height for mechs; but digging about, I haven't been able to find solid clues on how much floor space it has.  What's the approximate footprint inside the compartment please?

I see in your first picture what looks like a Starlink Starship toy? Been thinking of picking some up as they look rather good - any chance of a close-up with minis?

The rest of your setup is looking good. The Mantic bits work well, do wish they were cheaper. Mantic's  prices are not what they used to be...

I'll have a measure of the floorplan when I'm in the office where the model is.
I'm not sure if we took a picture of the Starlink ship next to a figure, I'll dig about. It's perfect as a fighter ship though.

These pictures of figures on 25mm round bases might help wth the Mantic ship size:

Thanks Nick.  I've seen those or something like them, but can't really figure if 4 mechs could plausibly fit inside given the way the compartment tapers down to the bottom.

Awesome thank you. I picked one up yesterday though it is a different ship and I can highly recommend them to anyone wanting some nifty cheap spaceships.

Loving this thread...

Great stuff on this thread. I had no idea the Mantic ship opened up. That's really cool. Starlink ships are great also. I've got dibs on my son's...

Your work with the Mantic terrain is great. I built a bunch of Mantic terrain for a friend. Very easy to work with and a good finished look, but I'm not personally a fan of the modular style. However, I've found allot of use for the panels combined with other materials for my own use.

At first glance I wasn't sure about the modular nature of the terrain. But it's really good to play games around, I'm sold.
