Caesarian Army blog
« on: 15 September 2021, 12:31:29 PM »
This year I have been fulfilling a long desire to build a Roman army. After much deliberation I decided on the Marian/Caesarian period. Focused for Infamy Infamy rules, I have just finished the last units (of 10).  Naturally, I am now looking to expand it for use with other rules such as Soldiers of Rome, Impetus and Hail Caesar!

Nice painted figures. I hate those shield transfers, really dislike putting them on the shields, so I reduced the ratio to 1:3 made the completion much quicker and cheaper. After all there is little evidence to show this period even had shield designs. I identify the odd veteran unit where I give them all transfers.

Have you played 'Soldiers of Rome' never really seen much about them?
