Tree trunks for bottle brush trees?

Does anyone know where I can find, or who makes, tree trunks like the ones on the Citadel trees? I have some K&M trees that have a similar look to the Citadel ones and I'd like to add proper trunks to them before basing.

Any thoughts?

Thanks Overlord. I've seen those before but Snapdragon quoted me 25 Pound Sterling for shipping to Canada on those. I think they're only worth 8 Pound.  Eeeeesh.

I think I get it
railway model trees that resemble bottle brushes...

I have a big bag of roots with short trunks for such trees, though I never use such trees
I also look out and collect wor plastic trunks, which usually fit well with the roots
I think many model railway companies offer such things

the foliage I make myself, usually from plastic leaves for plastic flowers or aquarium stuff, or leave them bare

Couldn't you use real twigs? If they are short and thick enough they should be quite sturdy.

Another wretched botanical lesson

Look for Callistemon, very prevalent in Australia.

You can see why they're called bottle-brushes. The trunks are like twisted  paper.

None of the examples I've seen here (LAF) are suitable.

so it's a colloquial term for acertain kind of actual tree, not for tree simulation

At the risk of committing a "thread-jack", these would work very well for Pulp/SciFi/VSF etc jungles.  You could use plastic aquarium plants for the main part, then twist some sizal string into a doubled-up piece of fuse wire. Glue it onto the stem and paint the "flower" in any bright colour and it should give you a very effective "alien" plant

I guess i would simply buy some bottle brushes in a penny shop and spray abd dipp them and put them on bases
there are many different sizes

Cripes! I would never have guessed.

It does explain the odd-looking blokes down at the railway station this evening.

The other type of "bottle-brush" is the melaleuca which we have managed to have planted all around the world (particularly Florida) as part of our sinister Antipodean plan for world botanical domination.
