Airbrush Booth
« on: November 05, 2021, 06:36:28 PM »
I’m considering starting to use an airbrush in my modelling and wondered if someone could recommend a spray booth as where I live means that spray painting outdoors is a recipe for developing hypothermia?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I bought one of these years ago, but without the hose. This one is on Amazon UK - link

It worked okay, although I kept the kitchen fan on and wore a respirator the whole time. Without the fan it's mainly good at catching overspray, rather than reducing odour.

It does fold down for easy storage :)

I have the same booth, also sans extract hose.  It has worked well for many years.  It can be folded down in seconds when not in use.  It catches overspray nicely, but dont rely on it as a protective device.  It takes out coarse particles and dry paint flakes, but not much else.  Use a decent A1P1 rated half face respirator, such as the 3M 6000 range.  I think of both of them as essential to airbrush work.

Many thanks for the recommendations about the booth and the mask!

I think I’ll give this a try.

Much obliged!
