Lovely storytelling but surely you are missing the most frightening feature of the whole scene. The mysterious Brown Willy. That should be enough to keep the characters’ buttocks firmly clenched. ‘ Four miles north of Jamaica Inn loomed the menacing bulk of Brown Willy……’

I got home from Snapcase Hall on Monday and Mrs V hung me on the washing line to dry out and my body is slowly returning to normal after the torture that is 4 days in the Hall, copious amounts of food and drink laid on for the unwary, with late nights and early mornings thrown in.

The family retainers are much as I remember them and it was a joy to see them again. I especially enjoyed my reunion with Ms Spankhurst's and her ministrations with the birch twigs and sauna, although it made the drive home a rather painful affair.

The game started a little slowly not least because it was so long since I'd used the rules and longer still since I'd played face to face with companions, but once we'd over come that, things moved along at a furious pace. I just want to check with Captain Blood how much supernatural an element he's comfortable with on this board and I'll set to on the report.

Thanks for the comments and especially to Carlos for the suggestion of introducing Brown Willy into the storyline, the Mad Lord was keen on this as well but I resisted strongly.
Cheers

I am comfortable :D

‘Traditional’ folk horror creatures and characters seem a perfectly acceptable accompaniment to swashbuckling era action.

Hurry up Vaggers - I’m agog to read about this one. Snapcase is well on his way with the Jamjahristan report (truly excellent it is too) so you need to get underway. <settles back, drumming fingers on table with impatience>
