Cool!

I’d be interested in the pannier tank loco, so I rather hope you go on to make this one.

Are these a kind of narrow gauge, then?

Cheers

Yep, just finishing it up.  Should be available by next week as a print to order option.

We're working with Great Escape Games on having them carry the train lineup.  Hopefully we will have that ready to announce soon.
Meanwhile, here's the printed Tank Engine.  It's literally just two pieces.

And Armored train!

I was really hoping that would be available to purchase as an STL for home printing....

Nice! How is the new locomotive with tender coming along?

So I have some 3D printed tracks bought from a fellow in Germany (whose name escapes me now). The internal distance between the tracks (rails?) is 23mm. This should work for these trains, right?

Stunning work all round. Would there be scope to add some more? I know, typical gamer.
Thinking of Boer War and Mexican Revolution variants. No one does 28 mm train models for these periods as far as I know. A good few of the wagons you already do would work but the engine would need to look more early 20 th century with armour plate bolted on as opposed to the lovely model in the range which is more RCW or later. I am certainly interested in getting some of the new models and suspect others out there, like me, would love a Boer War option. Be interested to hear.

I am planning an armed train for the Sudan (Suakin–Berber railway). As far as I can see the new locomotive and tender combined with a flat car and a couple of low gondola cars will give me what I need. The trains were ]armoured‘ with rails and sand bags, while the cars were armoured with what I imagine to be boiler plate (given that they were improvised by the Royal Navy).

That sounds very exciting and will be a real show piece. Are there any examples of Mhadist attacks on trains? I can see a attempted derailment providing an interesting scenario much like the attack on the train Churchill was on in the Boer War.
Look forward to pictures of your project!

I haven’t read of any attacks on armed trains.

It’s a longer-term project for me, although I have made a start on the main armament, an Armstrong RBL 40pdr. There are some details on my blog:

Yes.  I'm knee deep in ww1 Quad Walkers and future war kickstarters right now, but additional engines for the periods you mentioned would be something I'd look at.  I wanted to actually do some WW2 Japanese armored engines, but that's on hold.  I can look at Generic style engines turn of the century engines with add-on armor and plain.  Either as print to order options or sell the stl files.
