Not sure if I should mention this here (or perhaps for context or for inspiration)... ::)

My own grandfather went to Saigon at this time, as a civilian radio at the airport. He remembered that on the boat to go there, during the travel there were some fights at the bar (in which he was not involved): French Foreign Legion drunk soldiers began to sing WW2 German Army songs (because at this time many of the Foreign Legion were former German army soldiers) and French Marine Infantry drunk soldiers did not accept it, and they were brawls at the bar.  ::) ::) ::)

Um, sorry, it's history, I swear it's true.

Thank you, Patrice. I can believe what you say. I knew that many Legionnaires were former German army soldiers. It does not surprise that les marines were less than impressed  ;)
