Some fun with Dwarves
« on: December 10, 2021, 10:33:10 AM »
Winding down the painting for cash thing these days, but I had the chance to paint up a couple of lovely Dwarf models for an old old customer from years back. Two of the best sculpts GW have done for the wee fellas (in very different flavours), modern classics one might say.

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

The Dwarf Lord with pensative expression is one of my all-time favorites from GW. IIRC he was sculpted by the guy who later went to create Avatars of War.

Seems likely.

That first dwarf just oozes power, and the second fella with the gun and hat seems a right character

These are marvellous - though the title did make me think of Lahaven Ramjewel!

That first dwarf lord is a lovely mini and the paintwork really helps show it. Grand stuff.

I'm not so keen on the second one but the top figures is smashing. Good brush-work on both though.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.
