Author Topic: Moving to Northern England, What's Everyone Playing? (Read 5805 times)

Tomorrow's the day. I'm moving to Durham tomorrow and I'm wondering what I should bring, miniature wise. I'm going to have to be spartan with what I bring with me, as it is not feasible to ship any substantial number of figures over. I plan on bringing some painting supplies and a fair number of unpainted figures, as these are easy to store.

I was wondering what everyone in and around Durham is gaming at the moment, so I can bring the appropriate painted figures.

I'm a bit far from Durham so I can't be of any real help, but I'm sure you'll enjoy your time there.

Land of the Prince Bishops. Beautiful place.Can only speak of our own small group. WW2 Skirmish games, Pulp (1920s and interwar), Blackpowder skirmish and Near future/horror games too. Most of our games comprise 3-30 figures tops per side. Hope the move goes well and welcome to our glorious County!

Durham is a lovely county. I've lived away but I had to come back.

Good grief. You're moving to Durham. Westfalia Chris has moved to Hull. I didn't realise the NE corner of England had such academic gravitational pull...

Sounds to me like you need to form a LAF exiles club!

Ah the problem isnt that I have no mates, the problem is I have no mates intreasted in my hobby, they would rather go and be DJ's or injest strange mind altering substances...Like stale baked beans or something...

I know mate, it's a common problem, but it does sound like you could be the hub for a little LAF collective over there.

It's ages since I've injected stale baked beans, that takes me back.
