My old Necromunda miniatures - Ripper jacks

Happy New Year!! It had been a long time since nothing had hung on my display case ... I have been waiting for a box of those to arrive to take pictures of minis. And it has arrived and the truth is that it is going great!

Here I show you two minis converted to be the scavvy mutants for old Necromunda edition using the Gorkamorka mutant torsos as a base.

I must also say that I have used Army Painter's quickshade, to make a quick painting with hardly any retouching afterwards. I have achieved very good results with this product, but also other disastrous ones. I still have a hard time getting the optimum point of viscosity.

On the one hand, a winged mutant. The wings are from Reaper Miniatures. The legs are from a SpaceCrusade gretchins. The pistol hand is a mess ... When I bought it I already had my hand like that and I did not worry about trying to repair it.



And on the other hand, a mutant with a tentacle arm (I should have painted it more striking because it doesn't show), with a converted flaming spear. The legs are made of a plastic goliath from the first edition of the necromunda.



Now that I have reloaded photos I will be uploading weekly.

Here I bring more mutant conversions!

The former are based on the plastic orks of the Gorkamorka mixed with the old sprue of chaos mutations (except for the head of the horns and great eye).




And this other, with a kind of heavy machine gun, is based on an ork body and pieces of more current chaos mutations.



All of these have also been painted with army painter quickshade. On the wing, the bad effect of not correcting the viscosity of this product is noticeable.

Some nice conversions of classic models there, well done!

I don't know if you're looking for any suggestions on technique or such; if you are, I might advise removing some of the more obvious/prominent mould lines a bit more thoroughly prior to the dip, as the dip really makes them stand out. I would perhaps also dab off a bit more of the dip where it pools heavily, as it seems really thick in some places.

Anyway, I really like these, and I hope you'll do some more.

Thanks for the tips! When I want to do more delicate paint jobs, I apply the quickshade with a brush and correct the excesses. But I didn't do it like that with the previous miniatures.

Necromunda is one of my all time favorite gaming experiences, loved everything about it (even the cardboard & plastic terrain was okay) but perhaps the coolest thing was all the conversions I had a lot of fun making new gangers. These that you've done look great hope to see more from you and thanks for sharing.
