There is a LOT of choice, plus more to come from Victrix and WA in plastic!

Don’t know where to start.
I’ve got quite a nice force of Huns together, so I’m after some Frankish infantry to back them up.

Footsore look good, but they are Goth infantry.

You can add variety with select figures from Eureka’s Dark Age and Beowulf ranges.

As many of the ranges suggested are "generic" 4/5th century "invaders", you could also look at the Gripping Beast early Saxon range which is listed separately to their 5-pack Frankish range. You may also want to check the compatibility of the Foundry figures with more recent sculpts. Although very nice models I think they are much slighter than some of the others. Might work as separate units in an army but IMHO not mixed together in the same unit.

If you’re planning to to represent mid-5th century Franks (circa Catalunian Fields), it’s probably worth considering that the Franks had been operating militarily within the empire for over a century, much of that time in contact with the Goths, Burgundians and other groups — so I don’t really know how distinct the Franks would have been from the Romans or other ‘barbarian’ peoples in terms of weapons and armour. Angons and franciscae are characteristic weapons for the Franks (I think GB have them available separately), although I get the sense they were used by almost everybody in the mid 5th century.
Sidonius Apollinarus described the appearance of the Franks (funny haircuts, moustaches, tight pants? I can’t remember what else). I don’t know how much of that was describing reality and how much was for literary effect, but it’s something to work from.
Most of the specifically Frankish ranges out there seem to have helmets based on 6th century finds and it’s plausible they were in use earlier. A lot of 28mm Franks have fur or leather vests — not sure where that comes from (probably a WRG/Osprey illustration and/or the Foundry figures).
I don’t know if this has cleared anything up or muddied the waters further. Basically use any of the figures mentioned earlier in the thread. I also don’t think you’d be out of line using figures labeled Goths or even Late Romans for your Franks.

Take a look at Wargame Atlantic
They are doing plastic merovingian franks (and goths)

And Victrix!

Trouble is I can’t wait that long.
No worries.
And thank you every one for the input.

I have the gripping beast metal Salian Franks. I actually like them a lot, a lot of fun sculpts filled with character and Frankish flavor. and as indicated in the previous posts, the wargames atlantic franks that will hopefully release in 2022 look promising. The victrix late roman set will also be handy as the set includes more barbarian style heads and will be easy to kit bash.
