Sea Peoples Ships

Does any one make the ships the Sea Peoples used in 28mm? I am aware Redoubt do the Trojan War ships which is as close as I have found.

If my memory is correct, Monolith used to sell a couple different Egyptian ships (28mm) from this period, and may have had a Sea Peoples variant.  I am not sure what has ever become of Monolith's ranges though.

I think Scheltrum Miniatures also had a few ship variants (28mm) from this period that would have worked, but like Monolith, I am not sure what has become of Scheltrum, but I have been advised by friends  in the UK that they still trade, sort of...

Jcspqr, I haven’t seen sight nor sound of Monolith for maybe a decade. I last saw Scheltrum at a show about 5 years ago but nothing in the past two years. A real pity as both had some interesting ranges .

Redoubt have some nice resin ships for Trojan Wars. They could do the trick.

To be honest, after listening to a few documentaries on the Sea Peoples you could probably get away with any sort of ship from the period and area as they appeared not to be a proper nation as such, but just an amalgamation of peoples

While the Sea Peoples as a whole were indeed a composite group of peoples, the Egyptians did categorise them into their separate groups with a distinctive "dress code" for each.

The images from the Medinet Habu reliefs show various Sea People ships, all of them with a vertical prow and stern, topped with bird-shaped figureheads:



The Monolith ship is ideal, if available.

Thanks for the replies all. Looks like the Redoubt Trojan War ship is as close as I will get.

The Monolith ship is perfect but their website doesn’t seem to have been updated since 2006 so I guess they are sadly long gone with no answer to my email and no answer to their phone number.

I was hoping their might be an mdf kit out their as I don’t think these ships would be all that big?
