Victorian Life Guards
« on: 16 May 2022, 08:10:48 PM »
Look at these figures Richard Kemp (HLBSCo) sent us. They are 4 Late Victorian Lifeguards. He basically said 'I'll never get around to moulding these, & people keep asking for them, do you want to do it?'

Yeah okay.

We've just taken the first castings off the mould, I was thinking of releasing them on the Queen's Jubilee (2nd June)

They’re a bit nice - lots of nostalgia for Britains trooping of the colour figures, but these are actually wielding their swords.

They might make a nice little IHMN force?

Lovely figures, but a real shame about the ugly blocked in reins. I know it makes casting easier and prolongs mould life but that will be a real bugger to remove cleanly.

I always welcome any Victorian era figures, they look really nice, though the figure with his sword raised vertically doesn't quite look right.
