Nice work so far.  I have a "not" Predator for my post-apocalypse game, but it's nice to see the real deal.

Brilliant! I loved the movie when it came out. Your painting and scenery is creating the true 80s jungle style.  :o

Those sculpts look absolutely amazing, no doubt more so with such excellent painting.

I love not only the idea but the execution and attention to detail, I can't wait to see where you go with this.

Ditto!

Some amazing paintwork on some amazing minis. Great likenesses and poses, and that camo, damn!

Super project.

I played Predator games with Spectre Operations and a fan- based addon made by Ivan Nylander and some adaptations by myself. You will find them on my blog if you are interested.

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm still working on more cards for the event deck and painting one or two more Predators. I also want to make a few small things that can serve as plot points. So it will take some time, also because of many other side projects (I love side projects).

Great looking stuff and totally inspiring.

I've had those 2 old Copplestone packs sitting in the pile for years and you've inspired me to not only dig them out but pull out all that plastic jungle I've been hoarding to construct for years as well!! So thank you.  8)

Man!  These look sooooo good!

I'm always afraid of 3D printed minis having mold lines and other imperfections.  These look great.  Nice job!

Mold lines are technically not possible in 3D printing, but very thin layer lines can be visible if you are a bit careless with the model alignment on the printing plate. This can happen and be more or less noticeable depending on the model, but I am generally happy with the results. ...and I'm more the careless type when it comes to 3D printing.  :)

Great that I could inspire you. I'm also always tempted by the work of others to start another side project, and another and another.  :)

I like the old Copplestone castings, they have a lot of charm. The 3D models have a completely different flair that I like very much and already look more like hard Sci Fi. And the new Predators also have the right proportions compared to the humans.

Also wanted to add that I really like the way you base the minis as well.

I realize some of it is printed (and it looks great), but I am referring to the fact that you don't pack the base totally full of stuff. I like to see the entire model, not just from the ankles up.

Damn, those look great. Makes me want to upgrade my Copplestone 'Hunter Aliens' from about 20 years ago  lol

I think we used Future Wars back in the day for gaming Predator.

What is the native scale on the humans? Some Papsikels I have printed are on the big side at 100%.

Yeah, lots of 3D printed stuff on the bases. However, I decided not to use the bases designed by Papsikel, but to create my own. The ones provided by Papsikel were sometimes too overacted for me, lots of skulls on them, sunken body parts, etc. I wanted to try the original 1987 movie flair. I mainly used elements from Goonmaster 3D for my bases, whose Basing Bits Kickstarter campaign included tons of material on various genres.

What is the native scale on the humans? Some Papsikels I have printed are on the big side at 100%.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide a hard numerical value. But the Papsikel designs are on the larger side of the spectrum. To fit the old Copplestone range, you'd certainly have to print them between 85 and 90% of the original scale (by my conservative estimate).

What is a marked difference from the old castings are the Predators, which have the much better (read larger) dimensions compared to the humans. They already look considerably more realistic now.
