Painted Copplestone Barbarian Queen
« on: October 10, 2009, 12:06:49 AM »
Hello all, been lurking for some time and seeing that there seem to be more than a few people here who like Conan-type heroic fantasy, I thought I'd finally post. Also, I have seen far too few painted versions of this, so I figured some exposure of it might lead to someone truly talented doing a version for me to enjoy seeing!

Hello and welcome aboard!

Excellent painting on that figure. The skin tone is well done, but the silver bits could use a little something. And THANK YOU! Eye brows! :)

Thanks guys, I was pleased with her myself. Didn't mean for my original post to come across as fasle modesty - I'm a good painter but not a great painter, so I just meant I'd like to see an elite level painter paint her.

Tasty!

Gentlemen prefer blondes.

I always do eyebrows on girls too. Never bother on male figures. Slightly shaped eyebrows on females accentuates the femininity.

Think the blue of her eyes and jewels tones in really well with the white fur, fair hair and skin tones - really nice colour combination. Look forward to seeing more of your work  :)

I think she looks great, the white fur and the blue stones in her jewelry really work well together.  I keep waffling about the price of that model an not buying it, but I might have to change my tune and just do it...it really is a good one.

I still think this specific model should be painted a bit more "Munro-esque", but I really like the combination of colours on your approach. And the silver looks positively shiny - "Sword of the Atlanteans", somehow. The basing is also very, very nicely done - subdued, but with just enough detail to be interesting rather than bland.

Great paint job once again… (I saw your other post first). That’s true that the skin tone is really well done.  :-*

Beautiful job  :-*  She looks the architype cool nordic ice maiden.

I could go for her if it wasn't for all the cutlery  ;)

Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.
