Cartman figure? (figures finished)
« on: October 12, 2009, 09:51:03 PM »
Hi all. Thanks to Hasslefree miniatures, I've got a Kenny, Kyle and Stan sorted for a game I'm going to run at uni. However, I'm completely stumped on what figure to use as a basis for Cartman. Since the other figures are quite realistic, I'm after an overweight male kid in basic clothing such as a shirt, trousers etc. Preferably 28mm scale, so around 17-19mm to the eyes.

Any idea which companies do a suitable figure? I'm happy to sculpt details and what not, so any base is good. Cheers for the help guys.

There's a fat youth in a baseball cap in Copplestone's Future Wars Militia pack 2...
I've got him somewhere if you want him...

Nice spot there, not counting the integral base, how tall is he in mm?

Ok, thinking outside of the box here.... How about a nice plump halfling, say a GW one? If you're comfortable with scultping, it shouldn't be too difficult to cut the size of the feet down and make shoes. Just a thought anyways.

.... that's genius Chairface. A Lord of the Rings hobbit is exactly the right height, and realistically portly. Just a bit of sculpting on the clothes and bingo. Thanks!

For Cartman I  might even go a little chunkier. Something from the old empire halflings or even bloodbowl.

Maybe not the exact one that I would use, but check out the Cartmanesque belly. Beefcake!  PM me if you need one. I may be able to find one in my lead pile.

Thanks for the offer, though I'll be using the Fatty Bolger figure from the Lord of the Rings range. He's fat and has minimal clothing detail and hair that'd get in the way when making the outfit. Plus Bolger is the right height and matches the scale of Parker, Peter and Palin in the Hasslefree range.

Should anyone have a Fatty Bolger figure they'd not mind parting with, please pm me.

Well then, here you go -

The figures are all from Hasslefree miniatures aside from Cartman, who's from GW. Kenny was unconverted, the rest had some sculpting for clothing to various degrees.
