Current Project: 15mm 13th Century
« on: 03 August 2022, 10:36:36 PM »
I thought I’d post to be a little active rather than just a reader and a skulker! I’m currently working on a medieval project set around the early 13th century, within 50 years (on either side) of the first Baron’s War. I’m working on building simple and interchangeable terrain, as well as painting up some minis I bought from Scale Creep (I’m in the US).

The project is 15mm due to cost, availability, and size. I enjoy being able to set up and tear down quickly and have a little jaunt of knights battling each other. I’m utilizing Chainmail by Gygax and Perren for my rules, and stands of 4 figures in units of 8 (2:4 ratio for cavalry). I’ll try to update this topic as I finish more!

Here’s the finished figures so far, a mix of Essex and Black Hat miniatures. The command unit is not glued down yet, I’m deciding if I want to go with a double or single size stand.

I’ve painted up a house my brother in law 3D printed me. It’s more in the 20-25mm range, but I think it’ll work just fine for the project. Especially if it’s the main building of a fortified farmstead or something along those lines.

I’ve finished the second command stand, mounted sergeants, and Frankish archers; as well as a fallen tree and the other stone house.
