A pair of medieval/fantasy houses on their way
« on: 13 October 2009, 01:18:21 AM »
These two identical houses are almost done, just painting the thatched roofs and cleaning things a bit up.

Oh yeah, these are Hudson & Allen, if I am not mistaken?

They look much better than I would have thought from their pictures. Of course, we'll need some shots with miniatures when they are done. ;)

Yes, the very nice Hudson & Allen houses, my preferred range for medieval buildings. If you'd like, have a look at my version:

Lovely. I may have to look into them. I dismissed them earlier based on the pictures on their website.

Progress as been painfully slow, but I managed to add a wash to the roofs:

Ok, this is kinda related to the houses: while I had my stone paints set up, I thought I'd paint a set of Italeri Stone Walls. These are for 1/72 really, but how do you think they look with 28mm figs? I thought they'd be alright as low walls for 28mm, especially because the wooden gate is rather tall? Here are some pics of the walls and Lotro figs, and some with 20mm for comparison.

The Hudson and Allen buildings rock, I have a pair of those myself. I'm really tempted by their castles.

I think that the Italeri walls work fine with both scales. Nice work on the buildings too

Cheers
