Westland Lysander, Painted All Black, anybody know?
« on: 19 September 2022, 03:12:41 PM »
Afternoon all, what with 0200hrs and a long time interest in World War Two I've invested in some appropriate figures etc and a 1/48 scale Lysander for the pick up and drop offs. My Camouflage schemes usually end up unconvincing to say the least and a week or two back I'm fairly certain I saw a reference to a completely black Lysander in this role. Can anyone confirm this is so?
Many thanks in advance

Some Special Duties Lysanders were painted all black.
The old Airfix kit had this scheme, along with a special agent figure with trenchcoat, cap and briefcase!
