Are you planning additional miniatures, such as command types ? (there's a dearth of good cuirassier officers out there, as Paul Hicks on never sculpted any for Emil Horky's Bohemian Miniatures range - now owned by Empress)

Not currently - the primary aim is the Deathride Game scheduled for Salute next year - selling figures is to cover my outlay.
I commissioned them because I don’t think commercially available cuirassiers are interesting enuff (despite owning many)
I agree with your comments on officers etc.
as a result of this adventure I’ve started a bit of sculpting myself - so who knows ?

Thanks to all the people showing interest and ordering these cuirassiers.

I’ll be at Reveille in Bristol on Sunday with a WarreGame

I’ll also have supplies of Cuirassiers with me, so you can get a closer look  at them.

So if you are planning to visit, drop by and say hello

Received mine. They are delightful. Looking forward to painting them.
Pretty soon I’m going to have more cuirassiers than ever actually took part in the English Civil War ;) lol

I've been away for a few days but have just got back and I've looked at my figures. I must say that I'm very impressed. They're really nice. The riders are very detailed. They have bent knees and are bent at the pelvis, with a slight bend at the waist, which gives a very authentic looking riding pose. As expected with Paul Hicks sculpts, they're on the smaller side.

Two posts within a couple of hours will tell you that I'm really quite enthusiastic about these figures. I'd say that the riders will, in my opinion, fit in size-wise with Empress (ex-Bohemian) TYW, Perry ECW and Warlord WoR cuirassiers, which are figures I just happen to have lying around at the moment. I guess that they'll also be OK size-wise with Foundry TYW cuirassiers, figures I also love, although the sculpting style will be a bit different, the Foundry figures having the bigger heads which were very common on figures of the 80s.
Obviously, with mounted figures much of the height is taken up by the horse, and I haven't yet decided whether I'll mount these riders on the Ebob horses they come with, or whether I'll use something else.

I just received mine as well.  Excellent sculpts.  I plan to order some of the Empress (ex Bohemia) command to see how they mix.  I'd be curios to see what other horses you end up using as the horse size is usually the biggest issue mixing manufacturers

I'd be curious too. At the moment, I have no idea. In the past I have used either Perry or Calpe horses. I started out using Perry horses because I really like the sculpts. But I have built up some units on standing horses, and Perry standing horses are surprisingly hard to get hold of. I was drawn to Calpe because they are local to me (a couple of miles away), nice sculpts and they have several poses of standing horse. They are, however, currently unavailable, and will be until at least the New Year. They also have later-style bridle and reins, which I can live with but some couldn't. The unit I plan to build up using the Warre Game figures won't be on standing horses (I don't think it would suit the riders), so maybe I'll look for trotting or cantering horses somewhere for it.
