Have had these Blue Moon minis lying around for a while now, and thought I ought to paint up some of them before embarking on the newer Hornblower shield maidens. Got them from Old Glory who kindly sent out a second batch after Royal Mail made off with the original order.

Needed some elves for 5 Leagues' Ice-Heart Court enemy faction so I grabbed some of Alternative Armies' offerings to add to the demi-human stock.



I found some of the first minis I'd ever painted - some GW High Elves - and aimed for a similar paint scheme in honour of that 12-year-old who could barely finish a unit of anything. I don't find batch painting any easier nowadays, but at least there was less surface area to cover with these elves.

Painted up most of an Empire Knights warband from Ral Partha to bulk out the heavily-armoured options for 5 Leagues from the Borderlands games. Have still got the standard bearer underway, but need to step back for a bit after failing several times to get a decent freehanded design on the banner.
