Hungarian Gendarmes. They were the police force in countryside Hungary, in the war they acted as field police. They operated in pairs (both on the front and at home), so now, with one painted previously, I have two pairs of them. When the war reached Hungary, they acted as light infantry against the Soviets.
The figures are my sculpts.

Thank you! The Soviets are Tamiya oldies with head swaps. I tried to paint them with oils.

We had a great snow just before Christmas, so I came into the mood of rebasing these old Dragon German ski troops. It will be hard to use them in my usual anythingbutwinter terrain, but we will see.

Soviet assault troopers. 6 of them from Zvezda, they are among the oldest figures in my collection, they could legally drink. I renovated them, they got new resin heads and new paintjob. 4 of them are from Corsar Rex, good quality resin, but almost in GW character price.

This thread is so much fun, and so tempting I have a big box of unbuilt 1/35 figs somewhere, but I must stay strong.

Lovely work!
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo
