Great, cheap train set!, and scratchbuilt boxcar
« on: 05 November 2022, 08:09:15 PM »
Wow toyz steam set, 16 bucks at Marshall's on line.  Got the passenger cars.  Almost perfect scal track and stock.  S scale cars fit on it too.

Plastic, easily detailed and altered.  And runs with smoke and sound on 2 aa batteries!

Thr track is scale and superior to real s scale track
Also, converted a steel reefer American Flyer car to wood for Mexican revolution

Neat to see these available again.  They seem to come and go and then appear at random retailers.

Scale is a bit compressed compared to true S Scale but I think that makes then even better for 28mm Wargaming.

The track, it's perfect, and takes 10 mins to weather.

The passenger cars are a bit small, but I raised roof by 1/4 inch and it looks great
