Volume 2 of Simon Marsh's superb and invaluable The Train of Artillery of The Earl of Essex : Essex Ordnance Papers is now available on the Pike and Shot Society's website - https://www.pikeandshotsociety.org/

Like Volume 1 this is available as both hardback and paperback.

Volume 3 is planned at some point, which will complete the publication of the known documents.

Thanks for the heads up. Just checked the P&S website for further details, nothing other than 'vol ii now available'. Anyone know anything about what vol II covers?

Rader:

It covers the train in 1644 - 45 and it's integration into the New Model Army. 200 or so pages full of details and information.
