I just wanted to tell you guys about our Kickstarter project FJORD SERPENTS - Vikings at War, an original 10mm Viking naval combat game currently live on Kickstarter.

Please take a look at the campaign and consider backing if so inclined. There are plenty of tutorial and miniature videos to check out, plus a heap of information about the game.

It's a unique concept in a very specific setting and a heap of fun to play, being fast paced and highly tactical. The box set includes everything you need to play a Hersir level engagements and contains booster add-ons to bolster your fleets for larger engagements.

There are many exciting plans for the future in the way of mercenaries like Jomsvikings and returned Varangian Guardsmen, and also mixed theatre engagements of land and sea against Saxons and Franks.

Were this a 28mm game I would buy in immediately.  10mm, never.

It looks good, like most KS there’s no shipping estimate that will come later depending on what can be negotiated. He has said he is hoping for a European/ U.K. distributor

Looked  really good,love the 10mm scale and the amount of "stuff" you get, however, I decided against supporting it as I really dont see much replay value in the game. However, i would love to get the viking ships and even the 10mm  figures and combine with Pendraken and use other rules for it, for example Long ships by peter pig. 

So I will wait to see if the game is launched and then after fulfillment I will see if they sell the ships and figures seperatley.  I am still worried about the shipping cost from Australia to Denmak.

I’ve signed up for the early bird Kickstarter. Couldn’t resist as I’m an Aussie (and a Viking ;-) so they can row me the longships.
I’m thinking the boats will work for my 15mm armies … and 10mm Vikings scream 15mm Norse dwarves :-)
I won’t ask for Odin luck as he doesn’t care about mortal ventures, but I’m hoping this comes through!

Ok I take back all my negative comments, and after watching all the videos I have to say I really like it.

We have a good sized club here in Copenhagen and this wold be perfect for it, one ship one gamer. With the promise of more rules for land combat, it allow lots of games. I can also see tying the miniatures   into Peter Pigs Longships rules for added diversity. I can also see using Pendraken and other 10mm figs to add more flavor to the crews.
