Reman Knightly Order

Here is the just completed (yet to be based) new order of Morrite knights of Remas. The background will be something along the lines of knights of other orders vowing to serve Morr for their last years (and permitted to do so by their orders), and so they keep certain aspects of their old Orders' livery and crests, etc, but wear Reman colours and have Morrite heraldry on their shields (skulls, Morr's name or a raven's wing).

I undercoated with spray, and used a spray silver on the knights themselves. Then I went acrylic and shade paints. I have yet to varnish (I bought some GW spray varnish). All of this is still relatively new to me, despite 35+ years painting, as my past painting used enamels. The medium still seems really 'flaky' to me. It chips easily, covers strangely, and annoyingly comes out satin or gloss.

I am aware that some of the pairs might actually be character figures rather than Empire orders of knights, but I am hazy about all of them except for the Blazing Sun ones (who are somewhat obvious).

They look excellent. Nice and colourful, and they look to match your original enamel-painted stuff in style.

The first pair are Knights Panther regulars, the third pair (with the horned beasty on top of their helmets) are Knights Panther leader-types, the fourth pair regular Knights Panther (the skins draped over their shoulders identify their order).

@ DalyDR: Flibbit. So not the variety of orders I was hoping for. And I should have painted the furs like panther skins. Still, I could still do so I suppose!

(Edit: Although, in a fantasy world I don't suppose it is that important that the skins look like they belong to a particular real world beasty? This is the lazy part of me typing.)

But hell, they can be whatever you want 'em to be.  I painted mine black with gold curlicues all over their armor!

So, the background is a bunch of Knights Panther decided to serve out their days in the service of the church of Morr, and a couple of Blazing Suns fellers (Myrmiddian Order?) chose to join them.

But .. should I bother added panther like splodges to the panther pelts? Lazy me is dominant right now.

I love your old enamel style, and while these acrylics look good, your enamel style is so characterful. I love it!

Don't worry about it, the background said they used the pelts of big cats brought back from Araby and GW used to paint them as Leopards anyway.
