It was a lot of fun. The Berbers managed to overrun the dig but just couldn't reach the research tent. The Legionnaires in the base camp suffered a lot of casualties. There were six figures left in that platoon, but they held thanks to some un-timely die-rolling by the Berber player. The Turcos performed very well and drove off the camel riders. Between them, Chasseurs de Afrique, two machine guns, and the 75mm. I think they could have re-taken the dig site if the game went much longer. I was surprised by the dig player as he put some of the Archeologists in the front line alongside the Legion! Their weapons were intended for personal protection. They are worth a lot of points for the Berbers.
