Anybody playing Slaine?
« on: 24 January 2023, 07:55:40 AM »
Slaine: Kiss my axe! (apologies to Irish friends, I don't do accents on letters) was launched by Warlord Games last March/April. At the time I saw some unboxings, first impressions, painted figures and playthroughs of initial scenarios but haven't seen any conversations recently?

There may be ferment on Facebook (IDDF), but silence in all the wargaming forums I frequent.

Anyone playing Slaine regularly and have observations to make on the game approaching one year on?

Must admit, bought the starter set, but it’s still sitting in the box unused.

I'd have bought in if I knew I'd get to play it, as I am a fan of Strontium Dog. If someone else bought it and wanted to play it, I'd gladly give it a spin.

That said, I haven't purchased it because too many other games are already competing for attention with my gaming friends and in my own head.

Current projects: collecting way too many vintage Warzone models.

Played once but unfortunately have some more demanding projects on the go. Hoping to play again this year.
