My first Aztec buildings scratchbuilds
« on: 07 February 2023, 03:11:56 AM »
In honor of my Mom, RIP (a Mexican who gave me a childhood of searching for Mexico artifacts and exploring historical sites, and also a Miami Hurricane) I'm focusing on old Mehico gaming from now on.

Mexico Revolution, and now Aztecs.

My first builds.  They will get more stylish and Aztec(ky), I just wanted to start simply..

Thanks guys.  Working on a commoner villa, then, the mandatory pyramid I fear building.

Actually like the simpler buildings.  Seems everyone does the pyramids but not very often we see the vastly more common, I'm sure, humble dwellings of people.

As to fearing the pyramids, believe in yourself as it seems your late mother believed in you.  Perhaps she will be looking over your shoulder watching your work and helping it be better for it.

And when you get around to the Mexican-American War, seems sort of required, I may have a book of interest for you.  I lost a good gaming friend who was Mexican-American last August who I'd bought a really nice book for on the conflict but was not able to get it to him before he passed.  If his brother makes it to town and doesn't want it, perhaps we can make arrangements - will have to get the title for you, nice and well illustrated.  And I may still have the book on the horse marines from that era (maybe?).  Book would not be free, I'd want to get back what I paid for it more or less.  Obviously you'll need the title but let me know if you are interested.

Oh, and, no, I am not Mexican-American, just an American of north-western European descent, your basic mutt.

Nicely done! You just have to work your way gently towards building the Estadio Azteca.

Those look great! I agree that we need more simple buildings, too. Keep it up, you're off to a great start!

Smokey,
these are fantastic!
Could you go into some of the materials you used to create the structures?

Thank you.  One is foam board, the other is just a block of blue foam with foam board roof.   Just scribe and spackle
