Actually like the simpler buildings. Seems everyone does the pyramids but not very often we see the vastly more common, I'm sure, humble dwellings of people.
As to fearing the pyramids, believe in yourself as it seems your late mother believed in you. Perhaps she will be looking over your shoulder watching your work and helping it be better for it.
And when you get around to the Mexican-American War, seems sort of required, I may have a book of interest for you. I lost a good gaming friend who was Mexican-American last August who I'd bought a really nice book for on the conflict but was not able to get it to him before he passed. If his brother makes it to town and doesn't want it, perhaps we can make arrangements - will have to get the title for you, nice and well illustrated. And I may still have the book on the horse marines from that era (maybe?). Book would not be free, I'd want to get back what I paid for it more or less. Obviously you'll need the title but let me know if you are interested.
Oh, and, no, I am not Mexican-American, just an American of north-western European descent, your basic mutt.
